The transition into the Eldering years through peri- menopause and menopause often comes with disruptive symptoms, akin to a shamanic dismemberment. The non essential breaks down, fracturing values and old default settings along with the questioning of accepted belief systems.

This stripping down to one's metaphoric Bones is the meeting with Bone Woman, an energetic principle that is there at major transitions, she is the ancient one, the voice of the Earth herself, who challenges us back to what is essential and authentic. This time offers an opportunity to integrate the past and re-story oneself on the journey into early Eldership and beyond.

All land is Sacred. We pay our respects to the Original People upon the Land where we live and work, the Darug Darkinjung and Wiradjuri peoples and acknowledge the tragedy that colonisation brought about.

We also acknowledge the enduring wisdom of Caring for Country and Caring for Each Other that has been taught to us by our Indigenous Teachers and Friends.

Here at HearthGround we honour the ancient spirits of this Land by sharing the stories of place with the belief that we as a human community can ground new stories that have Reverence and Respect as a foundation for All of Life.
